European Tradition, Washington Heart

Founded by Theodore Manousakis and Chef Ernst Moser, Bread & Chocolate was born from a simple dream: to bring the elegance of European artisan baking to the Washington, DC community.

What started as a single Old World café quickly grew into 11 beloved locations across the DC metro area. Today, we proudly serve our friends and neighbors from our West End and Chevy Chase locations — carrying forward four decades of craft and warmth.
